Buyers are Searching Despite Slow Sales to Kick Off the Year

With mortgage rates falling, signs of demand are showing. Redfin.com reported that homes are taking longer to sell than any period since the beginning of the pandemic hit. Pending sales are also at a record low. On the bright side, home searches and tour request are increasing online. According to redfin.com, “homes for sale” google searches are on the rise and they have seen a 6% increase over the last month on tour requests and other buying services.

Buyers are starting the search process, could this mean an increase in sales is coming for the housing industry?
