New Building Material Alert

Heating, cooling, and ventilation account for approximately 35% of a building’s energy usage. Researchers have developed a new material that can change how much heat it absorbs and emits based on temperatures outside. With the use of this new material, buildings may be able to self-regulate their temperature. It is predicted that this material could make building 5-10% more efficient.

It will be interesting to see how this new material might play a role in the future of housing materials and if we will see a demand for it.
